Probing Non-Minimal Dark Sectors

     The main goals of the workshop, the emerging relevance of non-minimal sectors, the kinds of questions which need to be addressed, and so forth.
  3. Short informal presentations from participants (approx 10 minutes each)
     What are the different roles that non-minimality is playing in current dark-matter research?
     Each participant is invited to make informal remarks on the kinds of particular non-minimal models they have worked on, the way in which non-minimality enters their models, etc. The focus is not on specific models per se but rather on their non-minimal aspects.
  4. Summary [Dienes, Su, Thomas] (10 minutes)
     Summary of the presentations from the participants, surveying the scope of non-minimality in different contexts, the kinds of situations in which non-minimality has arisen and can play important phenomenological roles.

As evident above, there are four "blocks" and one "mini-block". Each morning or afternoon "block" will consist of a separate organized discussion centered around a specific theme. There are four main themes, one for each morning/afternoon, plus an additional topic for the June 10 mini-block.

Each thematic discussion will have two leaders and one scribe. The leaders will together deliver a short (approx. 45-minute) introductory presentation outlining the relevant issues pertaining to their theme. Each of these presentations will conclude with a list of specially chosen questions for general discussion. The rest of that block will consist of a guided discussion of those questions, with the leaders serving as moderators.

Each block will also have a "scribe" who will take notes and attempt to capture the flow of conversation, the ideas discussed and generated, and so forth.

Our four themes for the main blocks (not necessarily in the final chronological order) are:

• Non-Minimal Dark Matter at Colliders
• Dedicated Searches for Non-Minimal Dark Sectors
  (direct detection, axion searches, etc. .... )
• Indirect Detection of Non-Minimal Dark Sectors
• The Cosmology of Non-Minimal Dark Sectors

The theme for the June 10 mini-block is:

• Theoretical Challenges for Non-Minimal Dark Sectors

ORGANIZERS will prepare written overview and conclusions of workshop.

SCRIBES will prepare written summaries of their thematic discussions.

All of this will then be organized into a report (20-30 pages?) for arXiv posting "Probing Non-Minimal Dark Sectors" (followed by possible publication somewhere...)
